'Path-breaking producer': Anushka Sharma to receive Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award
After making her mark as an actress in the Hindi film industry, Anushka Sharma took massive strides as a producer as well. Anushka, along with her brother Karnesh Sharma, has backed several content-driven projects under their banner Clean Slate Films. Citing her contribution in Bollywood, the Dadasaheb Phalke Foundation has decided to honor her for being a path-breaking producer.
Anushka became the youngest producer ever in Bollywood
At the age of 25, Anushka Sharma went on to become the youngest producer ever in Bollywood. She started off with the highly successful 'NH10' in 2015. Her next two production ventures 'Phillauri' and 'Pari' did not live up to the expectations in terms of box-office collection but she was nevertheless appreciated for making brave choices.
Meanwhile, she'll be next seen in 'Sui Dhaaga' and 'Zero'
Anushka currently has some promising projects in her kitty. She is starring alongside Varun Dhawan in Sharat Katariya's 'Sui Dhaaga' which is slated to release on Gandhi Jayanti this year. On the other hand, she is also gearing up for Aanand L Rai's 'Zero' featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. Bot the films are in the shooting stages as of now.
