Is Anushka Sharma planning to quit acting? Here's the truth
Anushka Sharma falls in the talented lot of actresses in Bollywood, and has impressed us with her skills in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, PK, NH10, etc. However, it's been a while she has been missing from the big screen. Recent reports also cropped up suggesting that Anushka is planning to quit acting. This is certainly heartbreaking, but the truth is something else.
Possible reason: Anushka didn't sign any project after 'Zero'
Anushka was last seen in Aanand L. Rai's Zero opposite Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. The movie turned out to be a debacle and failed to impress anyone. It is said that after Zero, the Sui Dhaaga actress didn't sign any project and has taken a sabbatical from her schedule. This was probably why reports started stating that Anushka is quitting Bollywood.
Relax, she is just taking a break for now
While this development might have left Anushka's fans disappointed, they can take relief. That's because these reports are mere rumors. A source close to Anushka and her production team cleared the air, and said the Jab Harry Met Sejal actress is very much into acting. However, the 30-year-old has currently taken a break from her hectic schedule after working round-the-clock in 2018.
I need some time off before next project: Anushka
"I need to take some time off before putting myself in next project. I want to take that time to pick my next project and to prepare for my next project. I don't want to sign films just for the heck of it," Anushka stated.
Anushka has also decided to take break to support Virat
Also, according to a report published in IBTimes, Anushka is planning to spend quality time with husband Virat Kohli. "She has currently dedicated her time to be there for Virat and root for him in the ICC World Cup 2019. This will be the first time Virat will be captaining the Indian cricket team in a 50-over World Cup tournament," a source had stated.
Bollywood's youngest producer working on Tarun Tejpal's book
Meanwhile, Anushka, who is hailed as Bollywood's youngest producer - her first production NH10 came when she was 25 - is set to produce another project. Reportedly, the actress is working on a web series for Amazon, which will be based on Tarun Tejpal's book, The Story of My Assassins. The reports further suggested that the team is currently shooting in Delhi.
