What do Anushka Sharma and Oprah Winfrey have in common?
While a slew of Indian celebrities are getting the honor to get 'waxed' at Madame Tussauds, Anushka Sharma, just like her path-breaking career, is not following the cliched way. The 30-year-old actress will get an interactive statute which will be installed at the museum in Singapore, the first Indian celebrity to get such a figurine. Notably, Oprah Winfrey also has an interactive statue.
Anushka will hold a phone, greet guests with warm message
Sharma's wax figurine will reportedly have her holding a phone. "Guests can take selfies with her statue and she will be heard saying warm greetings if one picks up the phone," a source said. Anushka's will be the first such statue in the Singapore museum. Alex Ward, general manager, said he was thrilled to work with the Bollywood actress.
Anushka joins list of handful global celebrities now
Courtesy this special statue, Anushka has joined the list of global celebrities Oprah Winfrey, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lewis Hamilton to get unique figurines. "Only a handful of global power leaders and icons have such interactive features with their statues," an insider said. This only shows Anushka Sharma's popularity, he added.
Official feels Anushka's statue will be a great addition
"Not just families, we also see many young adults from India coming to our attraction, and this is a great opportunity for us to cater to that audience. Anushka has been frequently requested by our guests," Alex Ward added.
Meanwhile, Anushka Sharma has wrapped up 'Zero'
Interestingly, Anushka Sharma's husband Virat Kohli unveiled his wax statue in Delhi's Madame Tussauds recently. On the work front, Anushka recently finished filming of Anand L Rai directorial 'Zero', which also features Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. Her another movie 'Sui Dhaaga: Made In India' which has her opposite Varun Dhawan also wrapped up, not long ago.
