Taapsee Pannu to play a shooter in Anurag Kashyap's 'Womaniya'
Taapsee Pannu is on a roll at the moment. She is simultaneously working on multiple projects and now there is another addition to the list. She is all set to star in Anurag Kashyap's next directorial venture titled 'Womaniya'. The film is based on the lives of India's oldest women shooters.
'Womaniya' is a two heroine film
Inspired by the lives of Chandro Tomar, 86, and her sister-in-law Prakashi Tomar, 81, the film will feature another heroine alongside Taapsee and the makers are currently on a lookout for the same. Chandro and Prakashi hail from Johri Village in Uttar Pradesh and are popularly known as Revolver Daadis. They had entered the shooting arena after the age of 50.
Taapsee and Anurag will be collaborating for the second time
'Womaniya' marks the second collaboration between Taapsee and Anurag. They have also worked together on yet-to-be-released 'Manmarziyaan'. Also featuring Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal, the film is slated to hit the screens in the second half of 2018. As far as 'Womaniya' is concerned, it will most probably be out next year.

Taapsee will next be seen in the biopic of hockey player Sandeep Singh titled 'Soorma', the trailer of which was released earlier today. The film stars Diljit Dosanjh in the lead role and will release on July 13.
