What's the story

Renowned filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and musician-actor GV Prakash Kumar are reportedly in discussions to collaborate on an eight-part thriller web series. The pair, who have been contemplating a potential collaboration since December 2023, are now expected to unite for this project. Per a Pinkvilla report, an official announcement of the series is anticipated to be made after the release of Prakash's pan-Indian project, Kingston, later this year.

Kashyap, Prakash's past collaborations

Kashyap and Prakash have a track record of successful collaborations. They previously worked together as director and music composer, with Prakash creating background scores for Kashyap's films Gangs of Wasseypur 1 and 2. They also collaborated on Kashyap's 2013 film Ugly, where Prakash composed music tracks. The platform for streaming the proposed web series has not been disclosed yet, pending official project confirmation.

Meanwhile, Kashyap was last seen in Vijay Sethupathi's Maharaja and is gearing up for the release of his 2023 festival-acclaimed film Kennedy.
