Anurag Kashyap to present Hindi version of Malayalam thriller 'Footage'

Acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is all set to present the Hindi adaptation of the Malayalam thriller Footage.
The original film, directed by Saiju Sreedharan and starring Manju Warrier in a key role, received critical acclaim in Kerala last year.
Despite its average box office performance, the film has found a new lease of life, thanks to Kashyap's involvement.

Footage is a one-of-a-kind thriller set amidst the COVID-19 lockdown. The story revolves around a YouTube vlogging couple, played by Vishak Nair and Gayathri Ashok, as they investigate the mystery of their house help's secretive employer.
Their journey leads them to a remote island with unexpected turns.
Kashyap had praised Footage in a media interaction, saying he was "blown away by the execution-style" of the film.

After watching a preview of Footage, Kashyap praised the film's technicalities. He was especially impressed with the camera work, design, screenplay, sound design, and background.
"It's a very difficult film to make...I just marvel at what they have done with the camera, the design...the sound design," he said.
He also praised the risks taken by everyone involved in the project.
