Anurag Basu's 'Metro... In Dino' to release in July
What's the story
The much-anticipated film Metro... In Dino, directed by Anurag Basu, will finally be released in theaters on July 4, 2025.
In a social media post, the makers said, "When love, fate and city life collide magic is bound to happen! #Metro... in dinoN brings the stories of heart from the cities that you love! Experience it on #July4th in cinemas near you."
The film stars Anupam Kher, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkana Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal.
Production update
Earlier, reports said the film will be delayed
Earlier, there were speculations that the film's release might be pushed as Basu's next romantic flick starring Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela is on the horizon.
But the production team soon dismissed these rumors.
They issued a statement on social media saying, "On the contrary to some media reports claiming that 'Metro In Dino' is getting pushed, we confirm the movie is releasing this year in 2025."
The film was announced in 2022 and has been delayed a few times.

Basu expressed hopes for 'Metro... In Dino' success
Metro...In Dino is the sequel to the 2006 film Life In A Metro.
Speaking of his upcoming project, Basu admitted the high expectations from audiences.
He told Zoom, "It was great. It was as fun as... It was a huge responsibility because I thought that the old Metro (Life In A Metro) would be forgotten by people."
"But as soon as I started making it, people's expectations went through social media. So, the expectations are really high."
