#BollywoodMeToo: Anu Malik rubbishes Shweta Pandit's sexual harassment allegations

Anu Malik has vehemently denied all the sexual harassment allegations leveled against him.
He was, recently, accused of sexual misconduct by singer Shweta Pandit.
Shweta alleged that Anu had harassed her during an audition when she was a minor, in 2001.
Notably, his lawyer has now issued a statement claiming that the music composer is innocent and that he respects #MeToo movement.

Shweta's allegations are false and baseless, claims Anu's lawyer
Post Shweta's allegations created a stir in the industry, Anu's lawyer issued an official statement rubbishing them.
In the statement, Anu's lawyer stated that Shweta's allegations are baseless.
"The allegations made against my client are emphatically denied as completely false and baseless. My client respects #metoo movement but to use this movement to start a character assassination mission is obnoxious," read the statement.

Shweta Pandit had sent the B-town in a tizzy after she accused Anu of sexual misconduct.
Shweta claimed that he harassed her when she was 15, during an audition. She said that he asked for a kiss in return of giving her a song with singers Sunidhi Chauhan and Shaan.
Notably, Anu is Shweta's father's friend.

'Indian Idol'
Separately, Anu might lose 'Indian Idol 10'
Anu, who is currently judging 'Indian Idol 10', might be sacked from the show following the sexual harassment allegations.
Reportedly, viewers are pressurizing Sony TV and Indian Idol makers to remove him from the show.
Although the makers are yet to take a call on his association with 'Indian Idol 10', given the outrage, there's a chance of him being sacked.
