After 'Jawan,' Shah Rukh Khan and Anirudh reunite for 'King'
In 2024, acclaimed actor Shah Rukh Khan and music composer Anirudh Ravichander teamed up for the first time on the commercially successful film Jawan. The duo is set to collaborate again on an upcoming action thriller titled King, according to exclusive information obtained by Pinkvilla. This film will also mark the big screen debut of Suhana Khan, Khan's daughter.
'King': A new flavor of action thriller
"King is a one of its kind action thrillers, that will introduce a new flavor of action to the audience," revealed a source to the portal. The film is produced by Khan and Siddharth Anand under their respective banners - Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix. Sujoy Ghosh has been roped in as the director for this project. The pre-production work for King has already begun, with plans to start filming by August 2024.
Anirudh excited to reunite with SRK for 'King'
Anirudh, the music composer who significantly enhanced Khan's on-screen presence in Jawan, is reportedly thrilled about reuniting with him for King. "Anirudh is already working on the theme music for the film," disclosed the source. The film will feature Khan as an underworld don and his real-life daughter, Suhana, as his protégé. The title King refers to SRK's character being "The King of The World... Underworld" in this fast-paced action thriller.
