Malaika Arora and her family are grieving the tragic demise of Anil Mehta, who died on Wednesday. The incident took place at his residence in Mumbai, where he allegedly jumped off the sixth floor. Mehta switched off the phone after making the final call
Before his death, Mehta reportedly made a final phone call to his daughters, Malaika and Amrita Arora. He told them he was "sick and tired," and then switched off his mobile phone. The Mumbai Police have recorded statements from Malaika, Amrita, and their mother Joyce. They also plan to record statements from Mehta's doctor and other close family members.
Joyce recounted the tragic incident
Joyce was present at the time of the incident. She told the police that Mehta used to read newspapers on the balcony every morning. On September 11, she found his slippers in the living room and went to look for him on the balcony. When she didn't find him there, she leaned over and saw the watchman calling for help. Joyce added that Mehta was not suffering from any major illness or health issue, apart from some knee pain.
Malaika requested privacy during the difficult time
