Andy Serkis is an English film director, producer, and actor. He is popularly known for portraying performance capture roles which comprise animation, capture acting, and voice work for various computer-generated characters. He has played some legendary roles in films like ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey,’ ‘King Kong,’ ‘The Lord of the Rings’ film trilogy, ‘The Adventures of Tintin,’ and the ‘The Force Awakens.’ Serkis was born on April 20, 1964, in England. He is named as one of the highest-grossing actors of all time. Serkis is the recipient of two Saturn Awards and an Empire Award. He was also nominated for Golden Globe for his role of Ian Brady in the television film ‘Longlord.’ He received the Bafta Award for Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema in 2020. Serkis made his acting debut with the 1994 film ‘Prince of Jutland.’ Following this, he went on to appear in films like ‘Stella Does Tricks,’ ‘Loop,’ ‘Topsy-Turvy’ among several others.
