Ananya Panday is all set to make her digital debut with the upcoming web series Call Me Bae. The show, produced by Karan Johar's Dharmatic Entertainment, will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. The makers have now announced that the trailer for the series will be released on Tuesday, August 20.
'Call Me Bae' to premiere on September 6
The announcement of the trailer release date was accompanied by a new poster for Call Me Bae. The series, which consists of eight episodes, is scheduled to premiere on September 6. The plot revolves around the character 'Bae,' who transitions from being an heiress to a hustler. She discovers that her most valuable assets are not her diamonds, but her street-smart style.
'Call Me Bae' boasts an impressive cast
Call Me Bae is directed by Collin D'Cunha and features an ensemble cast. In addition to Panday, the series also stars Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra, and Mini Mathur in pivotal roles. A promotional video for the series was released last week, featuring a humorous exchange between Ananya and producer Karan Johar.
