The show, which stars Ananya Panday in the lead role, has gained immense popularity since its release on September 6, making the decision to renew it an easy one. A source close to the development said, "The decision to do an encore was a no-brainer. Call Me Bae was an immediate success."
Bella is coming!
On Wednesday, Prime Video took to X/Twitter to officially announce the second season of the show. The handle posted a video montage featuring Panday and other actors from season one, including Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, and Lisa Mishra, indicating they will be reprising their roles. The post was accompanied by the caption: "Bella is coming to swoon us over again with a new season."

Call Me Bae is a production of Dharmatic, with Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra, and Karan Johar as executive producers. The series was conceived by Ishita Moitra and co-written by her along with Samina Motlekar and Rohit Nair. Collin D'Cunha directed the project. Season 1's ensemble cast includes Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Sood, Samat, Jaferi, Lyra Dutt, Mishra, and Mini Mathur among others.
