Big B flies back home after daughter Shweta's father-in-law dies
Rajan Nanda, business tycoon and father-in-law of Shweta Bachchan died on Sunday night in Gurgaon, following which megastar Amitabh Bachchan rushed to India from Bulgaria, where he is shooting for 'Brahmastra'. Big B wrote on his blog this is a personal tragedy, and that his heart bled. Shweta is married to Rajan Nanda's son Nikhil. The Nandas are also related to Kapoors.

Expressing grief on his blog, Big B wrote, "...yes the personal tragedy is now in discloser and transmitted .. but it had a lead .. a lead of distress and anxiety and apprehension from a time of some immediate length."

Rajan Nanda was the chairman of Escorts Group. The engineering company operates in the sectors of agri-machinery, construction and material handling equipment, and railway equipment. The late business tycoon is survived by his wife Ritu Nanda, and children Nikhil and Natasha Nanda. Nikhil is the managing director of Escorts Group. He and Shweta have two kids- Navya and Agastya.
Ranbir Kapoor's sister Riddhima says, 'Uncle will be missed'
The death was also mourned by Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Ranbir Kapoor's sister. Riddhima is married to Bharat Sahni, a relative of the Nanda family. She took to Instagram to write, "Thank you for all the love always- Will miss you so much uncle - until we meet again." Rishi Kapoor also took to Twitter to thank fans who expressed their condolences.
