Amit V Masurkar is a Bollywood director and screenwriter known for directing the Oscar-nominated movie ‘Newton’ (2017). He dropped out of engineering to pursue filmmaking. He holds a degree in BA History. Masurkar has also written the screenplay of the 2011 hit movie ‘Murder 3.’ Between 2011 and 2021, Masurkar directed four movies including ‘Sherni’ (2021). Masurkar was conferred with Asia Pacific Screen Award for ‘Newton.’
