Thilakan rips into Mohanlal for silence amid sexual misconduct claims
Malayalam actor Shammy Thilakan has criticized superstar Mohanlal for his silence over the sexual misconduct allegations against renowned actor Siddique and filmmaker Ranjith. The allegations were made public in the recent Hema Committee report of sexual harassment. Mohanlal, who is also the President of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA), has not yet issued an official statement on the matter. Here are more details.
'We can identify who is part of that group...'
Speaking to the media, Thilakan said, "Mohanlal has lost his ability to respond." "Those who have eaten salt must drink water," he said, suggesting that the people accused should face the consequences of their actions. Thilakan also mentioned that he lives in fear too. Thilakan was quoted as saying, "The term 'power group' was used by the Hema Committee, and their report contains evidence of its existence. We can identify who is part of that group based on this evidence."
Siddique resigned as AMMA general secretary amid allegations
On Sunday, Siddique resigned as the general secretary of AMMA after actor Revathy Sampath accused him of sexual misconduct. In response to this, Thilakan said that he does not think that Siddique's resignation is poetic justice, but maybe his father (Thilakan) might feel that way. Siddique has also filed a complaint with Kerala police against Revathy, denying all the claims.
