Amazon Prime's 'Butterfly' series welcomes five new cast members
Amazon Prime Video's espionage series Butterfly has expanded its cast with five new additions. Actors Sean Dulake, Kim Ji-hoon, and Charles Parnell are set to feature in recurring roles. Meanwhile, seasoned Korean stars Sung Dong-il and Lee Il-hwa will make special guest appearances. These new members join an already star-studded cast including Daniel Dae Kim, Reina Hardesty, Piper Perabo, Louis Landau, Park Hae-soo, Kim Tae-hee, and Nayoon Kim.
'Butterfly': Who plays what
Butterfly is an adaptation of a graphic novel by Arash Amel and Marguerite Bennett. The plot centers around David Jung, played by Daniel, a former American intelligence operative living in South Korea. Dulake will portray Hollis, the trusted aide to Juno (Perabo), who runs her private intelligence firm. Kim is set to play Gun, a hitman targeting Jung. Song and Lee's roles are yet to be disclosed.
Spotlight on new cast members' previous works
Dulake is known for his work in both Korean and English language films such as Ktown Cowboys and Operation Chromite. Kim, a recipient of the 2023 Asia Artist Awards, has been featured in films like Ballerina, Death's Game, and Money Heist Korea. Parnell's previous roles include working with Michael Fassbender on David Fincher's The Killer and featuring in Mission Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One and TNT's The Last Ship.
