'The Last Song' streaming spikes after Miley Cyrus-Liam Hemsworth marriage

Interestingly, their wedding news has led to a spike in streaming of The Last Song (from where Miley and Liam started dating) on Amazon.

For those unaware, Miley and Liam shared a rocky relationship. The lovebirds first met on the sets of The Last Song in 2009 and began dating. Though they got engaged in 2012, it was called off in 2013 since they wanted more time. They made up again in 2015 and Miley confirmed and announced their engagement in 2016, before the 2018 marriage.

It explores Ronnie, a character played by Miley, who is defiant and free-spirited, who begins to fall in love with Will Blakelee, Liam's character. Later, things turn sour with Will and Ronnie's father dies. The end, however, shows the lovers reconcile.

Amazon Prime Video acknowledged that fans had increased streaming The Last Song, following the lovebird's marriage. They took to Twitter to reveal a 2,000% spike after news broke last week and fans began to feel sentimental. The streaming giant congratulated the newlywed couple, and said that everybody loved a happy ending, which this news and The Last Song both appear to deliver.
