'Amaran' maintains pace; collects ₹196.45cr in 21 days
The Tamil film Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy and produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India, has hit a major box office milestone. After 21 days in theaters, the film has earned an impressive ₹196.45cr net collection across India, according to early estimates. The movie features Sivakarthikeyan, Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, and Rahul Bose in key roles.
'Amaran' witnessed fluctuating collections throughout its run
Amaran's box office journey has been a rollercoaster ride with daily collections fluctuating. The film opened with a solid ₹21.4cr on Day 1, but dropped 10.51% on Day 2, earning ₹19.15cr. However, it picked up over the weekend with ₹21cr and ₹21.55cr collections on Saturday and Sunday respectively. The next week saw a major dip in earnings, with the lowest being ₹2cr on Day 21 (Wednesday).
'Amaran' saw significant occupancy in Tamil and Telugu regions
Region-wise, Amaran registered an overall 18.37% Tamil occupancy on its 21st day. The film's Tamil version witnessed the best occupancy in Pondicherry at 36%, followed by Mumbai at 38%. Meanwhile, Amaran's Telugu version recorded an overall occupancy of 16.29% on the same day. Among major regions, Chennai recorded the best Telugu (2D) occupancy at 38%.
