Now, a movie on Aadhaar featuring Vineet of 'Mukkabaaz' fame
According to reports, Vineet Kumar Singh of 'Mukkabaaz' fame is now part of a project called 'Aadhaar'. As the name suggests, it will deal with the government's controversial Aadhaar program. The film is being directed by Suman Ghosh and bankrolled by Manish Mundra's Drishyam Films. Notably, Ghosh won a National Award for his film 'Podokkhep', while Manish has produced critically acclaimed films like 'Masaan'.
What is the film all about?
'Aadhaar' is obviously about the Aadhaar program, which has often been in news for controversial reasons. However, Vineet insists that the film, which will be a satire, won't be controversial. While giving a glimpse of society, the movie will be laced with drama and humor. Speaking about his character, Vineet said that he plays a sweet guy-next-door character, very different from his 'Mukkabaaz' role.

Vineet credited 'Mukkabaaz' for his success in Bollywood and said, "It gave me freedom to play different roles. People started trusting me with different roles... used to ask my parents what I was doing in Mumbai. But after the film, they aren't questioning about it."

Speaking about Deoghar as the shooting location, Vineet said that the city was small but beautiful. He commented how Jharkhand was a wonderful place. Vineet said that during his research there, he came across people who had never left their villages. His insight into their mindsets piqued his fascination. Notably, the producer, Mundra is also from Deoghar.
