After 'TKSS', Sidhu banned from entering the Film City
It's been a week since Navjot Singh Sidhu sparked a controversy over his remarks on Pulwama terror attack. Ever since then, the cricketer-turned-politician continues to face the ire from all quarters. And looks like, this storm isn't going to subside anytime soon. After being sacked from The Kapil Sharma Show, Sidhu has reportedly been banned from entering the Film City in Mumbai.
A blanket ban on Sidhu along with Pakistani artists
According to the media reports, the decision was taken by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees unanimously on Thursday in Mumbai. The federation reportedly wrote a letter to the director of the Film City in Mumbai. In the letter they asked for a blanket ban on Sidhu along with all Pakistani artists, i.e. they should not be allowed to shoot in their studios.
Pakistani artists banned from Indian Film industry
Meanwhile, the decision came days after Pakistani artists were banned from working in the Indian film industry. The Indian filmmakers have also decided not to release their movies in Pakistan in the wake of the dastardly suicide attack in Pulwama last week.

To recall, Sidhu landed himself in trouble after he made a 'controversial' statement on the Pulwama attack that killed 40 Indian soldiers. While condemning the attack, Sidhu said, "For a handful of people, can you blame the entire nation and can you blame an individual?" His statement irked the netizens who not only slammed him but also demanded his ousting from TKSS.
Sidhu sacked from 'The Kapil Sharma Show'
Soon after, the makers of The Kapil Sharma Show decided to sack him from the show where he was seen as a judge. "His remarks haven't been taken kindly by most. Also, the channel and the show was getting dragged into the unwanted controversy. This is when the team amicably decided that Navjot make a distance from the show," a source was quoted saying.
Archana Puran Singh replaced Sidhu on 'TKSS'
Although Sidhu claims to be unaware of his termination from TKSS, there are reports that Archana Puran Singh has replaced him on the show. In fact, she also shot a couple of episodes with Kapil Sharma and his team. Meanwhile, Archana clarified that while she had shot the episodes before the Pulwama attack, there is a possibility that she might replace Sidhu permanently.
