Christopher Abbott howls and unleashes terror in 'Wolf Man'
Leigh Whannell, known for his work on The Invisible Man, is set to direct a modern retelling of the 1941 classic horror film Wolf Man. The upcoming Wolf Man film will star Christopher Abbott, known for his roles in Poor Things and Catch-22, as the lead character Blake. He is joined by Julia Garner of Ozark and The Perks of Being a Wallflower fame. The cast also includes Matilda Firth. Initially, Ryan Gosling was set to play the lead role but was later replaced by Abbott. However, Gosling remains an executive producer on the project alongside Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira, Mel Turner, and Whannell.

The plot follows Blake, who inherits his childhood home in Oregon after his father is presumed dead. He visits the home with his wife Charlotte (Garner) and young daughter, Ginger (Firth). However, an obscure beast attacks the family at night, forcing them to barricade inside the house. Meanwhile, Blake seems to transform into a recognizable monster! The teaser portrays the trouble that ensues following Blake's transformations as he struggles to protect his family from the beast within.
