Shedding light on why she chooses to stay silent on the relationship, Alia said, "I don't like talking about it is because somehow, it diverts all the attention".

Alia admitted being in a relationship with Ranbir and said it is an important part of her life. However, she also emphasized that she doesn't want to celebrate it at the moment. Instead, Alia wants to keep it safe and warm to grow. "You can say that it's like a cat in my life that I want to protect," Alia quipped.

Ranbir and Alia are quite serious about their relationship and are taking it to next level gradually. Their relationship has even got a green signal from the Kapoors, who are quite fond of the Gully Boy actress. Alia celebrated New Year eve with Ranbir and his parents Rishi and Neetu in New York. 'Brahmastra' played cupid for Ranbir-Alia
On the work front, Ranbir and Alia are busy with Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra. This will be the couple's first movie together. Interestingly, Ranbir-Alia fell in love on the sets of this Dharma production and often spent quality time together. Brahmastra also stars Mouni Roy and Amitabh Bachchan in pivotal roles. The first installment of this fantasy drama will release in December this year.
