As it turns out, Bollywood beauty Alia Bhatt is putting her luxurious Alexander McQueen gown and some other pieces up for the sixth edition of the 'Mi Wardrobe is Su Wardrobe' (MiSu) charity sale.
I have started small and I'm learning, Alia said
Talking about the idea of sharing wardrobes, Alia said, "The concept of sharing wardrobes is slowly but surely catching on and we need more and more people to understand the importance of reusing garments." "We need to adopt an environment conscious approach in our daily lives, in little things we do, to really bring about that massive change," she added.
'Happy to open my closet to my fans across globe'
Speaking about the MiSu charity sale, Alia said, "Sharing garments only benefits the environment and I'm really happy to open my closet to my fans across the globe." "This wardrobe includes select pieces that I've loved and treasured, including a luxury designer gown worn to a popular pre-awards function. Proceeds from this sale will go toward caring for the animals," the 26-year-old actor informed.
Alia's pieces to be sold online, from Saturday
Alia's handpicked pieces shall be available on SaltScout.com, an online platform for charity auctions and sales, starting Saturday. Notably, proceeds from the sale will go toward Kalote Animal Trust, an animal shelter, home to nearly 400 rescued and abandoned animals.
Separately, Alia has three major films coming up
On the work front, Alia, who was last seen in Kalank, opposite Varun Dhawan, has three major films in the pipeline. She is all set to star opposite real-life beau Ranbir Kapoor in Ayan Mukerji's superhero film Brahmastra, which will hit the screens in Summer, 2020. She will also appear in SS Rajamouli's Telugu movie RRR, and her father Mahesh Bhatt's Sadak 2.
