Alia battles the world to protect Vedang in 'Jigra' teaser
Alia Bhatt has released the first teaser of her upcoming film, Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala. The teaser, shared on social media on Sunday, gives the first proper peek into the high-stakes world of the film, dominated by action, emotions, and a sense of overwhelming mystery. The movie will be released on October 11 and is projected to do well critically and commercially.
The teaser has emotions, action, and a classic song!
The teaser follows the close bond of Bhatt and Raina's characters, who are orphans and on their own. However, Bhatt has to race against time to save Raina, who is imprisoned and doesn't have much time. The teaser's most striking takeaway is the rendition of the song Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna, sung by Raina. It gels well into the film and tightly binds the thematic threads of the movie together.
'Jigra' posters reflect Korean influence
The recently unveiled posters have exhibited a Korean influence, reflecting Korea's distinctive style of fast-paced, action-packed films. In one of the posters, Bhatt was depicted in a commanding pose atop a damaged car, wielding weapons and an axe, signifying the thrilling aspect of the story. In another one, she could be seen protecting Raina while he sat constricted in handcuffs.
Bhatt's upcoming projects include 'Alpha' and 'Love & War'
In addition to Jigra, Bhatt is also gearing up for Alpha, an action-filled spy thriller produced by Yash Raj Films. This film features Anil Kapoor and Sharvari in key roles. Further, the actor is set to start filming for Love & War with Sanjay Leela Bhansali where will share screen space with her husband Ranbir Kapoor and Raazi co-star Vicky Kaushal.
