    Alia Bhatt unveils intense 'Jigra' posters; teaser release date announced

    What's the story

    Alia Bhatt shared two new posters from her upcoming film Jigra on Friday, raising the anticipation among fans.

    The 31-year-old actor also revealed that the movie's teaser will be out on Sunday (September 8).

    In the shared posters, Bhatt can be seen giving a fierce and powerful stare into the camera.

    The film, which is a story of "courage, passion and determination," also stars Vedang Raina.

    'Jigra' to hit theaters on October 11

    Bhatt shared the new posters with the caption, "Dum Hai...Satya mei dum hai!'

    Jigra is presented by Viacom18 Studios, Dharma Productions, and Eternal Sunshine Productions. It is directed by Vasan Bala and produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt, and Somen Mishra. The film is written by Debashish Irengbam and Bala.

    Jigra is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 11.

    Bhatt learned basketball for 'Jigra'

    According to ETimes, Bhatt had to learn basketball for Jigra as several scenes in the film required her to play the sport.

    To ensure authenticity, director Bala assigned a coach to her.

    Reportedly, Bhatt underwent extensive basketball training where she was taught the rules of the game and basic movements like dribble and double dribble.

    She also learned how to pass and dunk the ball.

    Producer's take

    Bhatt excited about her second production venture

    In an interview with Film Companion, Bhatt expressed her excitement about venturing into production.

    She said, "I believe stories are everywhere, and stories are everything! I turned producer with Eternal Sunshine to tell some of these stories, ones that evoke emotions and leave an impact."

    She added that the love received for their first production, Darlings, was both exciting and overwhelming.
