Alia Bhatt will begin shooting for 'Sadak 2' next month
Alia Bhatt is in a happy space at the moment. After all, her upcoming release Kalank is already the talk of the town. But there is another project of hers that has made her fans very excited: Sadak 2. Adding to their anticipation, the Gully Boy actress revealed that she would begin shooting for the movie in May. Alia to lend voice for 'Sadak 2,' track not finalized
Talking about the shooting, Alia recently revealed that they would be filming an important chunk of the movie first. Interestingly, she will also be lending her voice for the movie. However, her track is yet to be finalized by the makers. For the uninitiated, Sadak 2 is the sequel to 1991 super hit movie Sadak, starring Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt in lead.
Movie to have reprised version of 'Tumhe Apna Banane Ki'
Media reports further suggested that Sadak 2 will also feature a reprised version of the popular romantic ballad from the original film, Tumhe Apna Banane Ki. Notably, a new version of the song was created in Hate Story 3 and listeners loved it.
'Father is saying I am going to get through you'
Back to Alia, this is the first time that she would be working with her father, Mahesh. While it's a dream come true for her, but Alia is also "scared" about being directed by Mahesh. "Right now, I am scared to be directed by my father. He is looking at me every day and saying I am going to get through you," she added.
'Sadak 2' story shook me, broke my heart, reveals Alia
Talking about Sadak 2, Alia revealed that after hearing the script she was moved by the creative narration by Mahesh. "It was so earnest that it broke my heart," she added. Alia also said that if it was not being directed by her daddy, she would not be doing Sadak 2, as no one else could direct it better.
With 'Sadak 2', Mahesh returns to direction after two decades
Sadak 2 was announced on Mahesh's birthday last year. It will mark his return to direction after two decades. The movie also stars Sanjay Dutt, Pooja Bhatt, Gulshan Grover and Aditya Roy Kapur in lead. Interestingly, Pooja will be reuniting with Sanjay after 28 years. Their last movie was Sadak itself. Besides, the Bhatt sisters would also be sharing screen for the first time.
