Ever since actors Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor started dating, they have become the most talked about couple in Bollywood. They fell in love on the sets of Brahmastra, and are going strong ever since. In fact, there were reports that Ranbir and Alia are planning to get married soon. However, the Gully Boy actress clarified that marriage is not on their minds currently.
Bollywood needs to take a break, says Alia
During the Gully Boy promotional event, Alia cleared the air about her wedding with Ranbir. She referred to Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas' weddings and stated that after two grand weddings, it is time for Bollywood to take a break. "We've had two beautiful weddings last year. I think we can chill now, watch movies and rest can be seen later," Alia added.
Love found its way to Ranbir-Alia during 'Brahmastra'
For uninitiated, Ranbir and Alia are currently filming Ayan Mukerji's fantasy drama Brahmastra, their first film together. That's when Cupid struck, and they were often spotted spending quality time with each other while preparing for the movie. In fact, Alia's Instagram pictures with Ranbir also spoke volumes about their blooming love story and sizzling chemistry. It also made fans excited about their movie.
Ranbir-Alia's affair also got a nod from Kapoors and Bhatts
Now as their relationship progressed, the couple met up with their families, who have green-signaled their relationship. Alia's father Mahesh Bhatt is all praises for Ranbir and called him a great guy. "Well, of course, they're in love. You don't need to be a genius to get that," he had said. On the other hand, Rishi Kapoor too admitted to being fond of Alia.
Are they planning to exchange the rings next year?
Meanwhile, some reports suggested that the families want Ranbir-Alia to take the plunge. The duo is apparently planning to get engaged after the release of Brahmastra, and fix a date for their D-day sometime in 2020. Needless to say, these reports got their fans all excited. However, after Alia's recent clarification, looks like we will have to wait for the big day.
