Alia Bhatt talks about 'Inshallah' fiasco and subsequent heart-break
Last month when Salman Khan announced that he's walking out of his reunion project with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Inshallah, it was lead actress Alia Bhatt who faced the maximum brunt. The actress had always expressed her wish to work with Bhansali, so when this happened, she was heartbroken. Speaking about it, she said that "sometimes things just happen and it's not in your control."
"Am going to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali very soon"
The Raazi actress made this revelation during her recent appearance at the IIFA Awards. Talking about Inshallah, Alia stated that she was "very excited" about working with both Bhansali and Salman. However, "plans never really go 'as per plan'." "But I can give it you in writing that I am going to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali very soon," the 26-year-old optimistically said.
'Inshallah' script demanded multiple kissing scenes between Salman and Alia
According to media reports, Inshallah was shelved after Bhansali and Salman had some creative differences regarding the script. As per a report published in Bollywood Life, the script of Inshallah demanded several lip-locking scenes between Salman and Alia. However, given Salman's public image, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor wasn't comfortable in forgoing his no-kissing policy. As a result, Salman stepped out of the project.
"'Inshallah' will be made but at least not with me"
Although there hasn't been any official confirmation about why Salman walked out of Inshallah, the superstar did confirm that the movie would be made without him now. "Currently, Inshallah is not being made. It will be made but at least not with me," he added.
