Alia Bhatt joins Aamir Khan in 'shramdaan' for Paani Foundation
In a bid to contribute towards the cause of making Maharashtra drought-free, Alia Bhatt accompanied Aamir Khan to Latur, Marathwada to do 'shramdaan'. Aamir, who is spearheading the mission, had invited JalMitras from across the country to do their bit for water preservation under Paani Foundation on Labor Day. Alia took time off from 'Kalank' shoot and 'Raazi' promotions for the noble cause.

Over 1.3 lakh citizens came forward to volunteer
More than 1.3 lakh people signed up on the website of Paani Foundation to do 'shramdaan' today. These JalMitras were allotted different villages across Maharashtra where they were required to work for three hours. Aamir, along with the team of his TV series Satyamev Jayate, formed the not-for-profit company in 2016.
