Alia Bhatt begins filming for Bhansali's 'Love and War': Report
Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt has officially started shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's much-anticipated film, Love and War. The news was confirmed by a source close to the project who told Pinkvilla that Bhatt started filming in Mumbai on Tuesday. "Yesterday was the first day of shoot for Alia Bhatt, and she has commenced the journey by canning her solo sequences," said the source.
Bhatt's filming schedule and character details unveiled
The source also revealed that Bhatt will be occupied with Love and War till November 2025, and will not be working on any other film during this time. "The combination sequences with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal will begin from the end of November," the source added. In this much-awaited film, Bhatt will reportedly be seen as a cabaret dancer while Kapoor and Kaushal will be Indian Armed Force officers.
'Love and War' to feature a star-studded cast and cameo
Apart from the lead trio, Love and War will also see a number of other acclaimed actors. There are also unconfirmed reports of a major superstar making a cameo in the film. The shooting for Love and War started with Kapoor on November 7, and Kaushal joined the sets on November 15. Now, with Bhatt's involvement, all three main actors have officially started their roles in this Bhansali directorial.
'Love and War' aims for Eid 2026 release
Bhansali intends to wrap up shooting for Love and War by October 2025, targeting a theatrical release for Eid 2026. While Kapoor will juggle his role in this film with his commitments to the Ramayana franchise, both Bhatt and Kaushal have allocated a major chunk of their calendars to this project. This will be the first time these three actors are coming together for a film under Bhansali's direction.
