Ali Fazal reacts after his private pictures leaked online
Actor Ali Fazal, known for his role in Mirzapur, grabbed headlines after his private pictures got leaked recently and went viral on social media in no time. While the pictures were pulled down later, the actor expressed his disappointment over this breach of privacy and sought support from his fans. While Ali isn't the first victim of cyber crime, it's worrying nonetheless. Here's more.
Confirming it was him, Ali says 'it's a private matter'
Talking about the incident, Ali shared a video on Instagram confirming that it was him in the pictures. In the video, a visibly disturbed Ali said that he doesn't owe an explanation to anyone, especially media. "It's me in the photo and there's nothing more I want to say as it's a private matter. It's a cheap and distasteful act: Ali
Further, Ali condemned the ugly incident and called it "cheap" and "distasteful". He also admitted that he is clueless about how the pictures of his personal moments made their way to social media. "I don't know how it went out. It's a very personal moment. It is such a cheap thing to do. It's distasteful and it is not needed," Ali mentioned.
Ali determined to catch the hacker who leaked the photos
Ali also emphasized that while he is upset with this incident, he would not let go of the hacker who leaked his pictures. "I will surely get to the bottom of it as to who was responsible for this and who managed to leak it," he added. Ali, who's dating Richa Chadha, also assured that he would explain everything properly at the right time.
'Milan Talkies': Ali's first release of 2019
On the work front, Ali is gearing up for the release of Tigmanshu Dhulia's upcoming directorial Milan Talkies. Also starring Shraddha Srinath, Sikander Kher and Ashutosh Rana in key roles, Milan Talkies is expected to hit the screens on March 15, 2019.
Other Bollywood celebrities who were targeted by cyber criminals
As mentioned above, Ali is not the first celebrity to fall prey to cyber criminals. Earlier, actors like Akshara Haasan, Hansika Motwani, Amy Jackson, Radhika Apte, Mona Singh, Vasundhra Kashyap, etc. have faced the brunt of hackers, which impacted both their professional and personal lives. Taking action, the affected individuals also lodged complaints in cyber cell departments of their respective police stations.
