Actor Ali Fazal has officially confirmed his participation in the upcoming fantasy action web series Rakt Brahmand - The Bloody Kingdom, directed by filmmakers Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK.
Speaking to Hindustan Times, Fazal said he was excited about the project and his character of a powerful king traversing through an extraordinary world.
The series also stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Wamiqa Gabbi in key roles.

Fazal expressed his excitement about working with the filmmakers and director Rahi Anil Barve.
He said, "I had been waiting for this collaboration to happen for a while, and I'm so glad that it did."
"The world that Raj and DK have created, to be part of that is a pleasant change. We've never seen anything like this coming out from our industry. It'll be very cool."

Fazal's physical transformation for 'Rakt Brahmand'
For his role in Rakt Brahmand, Fazal underwent a major physical transformation, including growing his hair for a year.
He called the experience "new and different," adding, "I've not done something like this, so it was quite cool to make buns and different hairstyles."
The actor humorously added that he got to know how much effort girls and women put into managing long hair through this.

During the interview, Fazal also spoke about how his new look might be received by his young daughter, Zuneyra Ida Fazal.
He jokingly suggested she should get used to such changes, given the nature of his profession.
"I hope I can keep showing her all the different get-ups I get to bring to cinema," he added.

'Rakt Brahmand' was earlier rumored to be delayed
Rakt Brahmand is currently a part of Netflix's 2025 slate.
The series is being produced by Suman Kumar and Hussain Dalal, with Raj and DK as showrunners.
Earlier, there were rumors of the project getting delayed, which were rubbished by Raj-DK themselves.
Apart from Rakt Brahmand on Netflix, they have Gulkanda Tales and The Family Man 3 coming on Amazon Prime Video.
