Ali Asgar, known for playing 'Dadi' and 'Nani' in 'Comedy Nights With Kapil' and 'The Kapil Sharma Show' respectively, rushed to meet his former colleague Kapil Sharma as soon as he heard of the comedian's deteriorating mental health. He revealed that Kapil was almost in tears on seeing him and could not even speak. Here's more.
"Kapil is missing all of us"
Ali said that Preeti Simoes had asked him to go and meet Kapil. "I heard Kapil is in depression. Preeti told me that Kapil has not left his room for days," Ali said. "When I reached his office, Kapil was lying down. He was close to tears when he saw me and couldn't even speak. He is missing all of us, especially Preeti," he added.
Ali also hinted at a reconciliation with Kapil
In his interview to a leading daily, Ali said that he wasn't aware of Kapil's mental condition as he was out of India for a month. "It's only when we meet old people or through media reports that we get to know that he is on heavy medications. All this fighting is leading nowhere. We'll have to work towards finding a solution," he said.
Why Ali parted ways with Kapil
Ali walked out of 'The Kapil Sharma Show' post the infamous mid-air brawl between Kapil and Sunil Grover. Speculations were rife that Kapil's behavior had upset Ali as well but he maintained that he quit the show because his contract got over. Ali also mentioned that playing the same part became monotonous and he wanted to try something different.

The recent unfortunate happenings have taken a toll on Kapil's mental health and he is trying hard to get back on his feet. The 'Firangi' actor is reportedly on heavy medication for depression.
