It's the battle of 'Pads' but Akshay Kumar doesn't care
After a series of controversies, Deepika, Shahid and Ranveer starrer 'Padmavat' is finally releasing on January 25. Co-incidentally, Akshay Kumar starrer 'Padman' is also releasing on the same day. It will be a clash of biggies in the Republic Day weekend, but Akshay is not fazed by it. Here's how things have transpired.
What does Akshay have to say?
On being asked about the clash, Akshay said, "It's not about competition, it is a very big day, a big week, so all the films can come. Both the films can release on that day." "Every film has the right to release whenever they want, and I am happy for them," he further said. At his level, Akshay can definitely take the clash head-on.
List of films affected due to 'Padmavati'
Meanwhile, at least one movie, Neeraj Pandey's 'Aiyaari' starring Manoj Bajpayee, has been postponed from January 26 to February 9 to avoid clashing with Padmavat. Luv Ranjan, director of 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety', said he will do something similar: "I see no sense in clashing with Padmavat and harming the best release my film can get," he mused.
