This Independence Day, it's Akshay vs John at box office
Having starred together in films like 'Desi Boyz' (2015), 'Housefull 2' (2012) and 'Garam Masala' (2005), Akshay Kumar and John Abraham will now lock horns at the box office this Independence Day. Akshay's 'Gold' has been slated to release on August 15 since 2016. Now, the makers of John starrer 'Satyamev Jayate' are also planning to release their film on the same date.

The reason why makers of 'Gold' and 'Satyamev Jayate' have locked 15 August as the release date is that because both the films have patriotic overtures. 'Gold' is being helmed by Reema Kagti and stars Mouni Roy opposite Akshay. On the other hand, Milap Zaveri is directing 'Satyamev Jayate' which also features Manoj Bajpayee.
