Akshay Kumar is turning 52 on September 9, and unlike other A-lister actors, the Mission Mangal star will not be having a big bash on his birthday.
In fact, if media reports are to be believed, Akshay will be spending his special day with his family.
Reportedly, he will be flying to London with wife Twinkle and kids to ring in his birthday.

According to a Mumbai Mirror report, Akshay isn't much of a party person, and wants to keep his birthday celebrations a low-key affair.
"The idea is to spend quality time with the entire family," a source was quoted as saying.
Recently the superstar was spotted having a good time with his mother in the Queen's city, and he also shared glimpses of their moments.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time that Akshay is planning a foreign vacation on his birthday.
Earlier, in 2017, the superstar had a snow-capped birthday celebrations in the Swiss Alps with his family on daughter Nitara's request.
Last year however, it was a little different for him, as Akshay celebrated his day with a get-together in Mumbai, his family and close friends in attendance.

While Akshay is all set to turn a year older now, the actor doesn't stress about adding numbers to his age.
In fact, the Gold actor still feels as young as he was in his "Khiladi times."
"I actually don't take this stress of the number in my head. I still feel I can have a lot of fun," Akshay had once stated.

Currently, he is shooting for his upcoming horror-comedy, Laxmmi Bomb.

There are reports that Akshay will also be collaborating with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Rowdy Rathore's sequel.
