Akshay takes holy dip at Maha Kumbh, thanks Yogi Adityanath
What's the story
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar paid a visit to the ongoing Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, just days before the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri (it will be celebrated this year on Wednesday).
Clad in a white kurta, he took a holy dip in Triveni Sangam and offered his prayers.
After his visit, he thanked Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the arrangements made for the event.

Speaking to PTI, Kumar said, "I had a lot of fun, the arrangements are very good, very well done... We are very grateful to the CM Yogi sahab for making such good arrangements."
"I remember in 2019 during the last Kumbh, people used to struggle, this time, many big people are coming, Ambani came, Adani came, many big actors came," he added.

After his shahi snaan, a drenched Kumar greeted and shook hands with fans before making his way out.
His visit only added to the list of celebrities embracing the spiritual significance of the Maha Kumbh.
The Maha Kumbh Mela started on January 13 and will end on February 26, attracting several celebrities including Vicky Kaushal, Sonali Bendre, Vijay Deverakonda, Hema Malini, and Pawan Kalyan among others.
