'Laxmmi Bomb': Akshay Kumar shares first look as transgender Laxmmi
After having delivered two super successful films this year, namely Kesari and Mission Mangal, Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is gearing up for more. The 52-year-old actor today shared his first look as a transgender character called Laxmmi in his upcoming horror-comedy film Laxmmi Bomb. Draped in a red saree, the actor looks fiery, to say the least. Here's more on this.
I'm both excited and nervous: Akshay on his new role
Akshay took to his Twitter account to reveal the much-awaited first look. He wrote, "Navratri is about bowing to the inner goddess and celebrating your limitless strength. On this auspicious occasion, I am sharing with you my look as Laxmmi." "A character I am both excited and nervous about... but then life begins at the end of our comfort zone... isn't it?" he added.

Akshay, Kiara-starrer 'Laxmmi Bomb' to release on June 5, 2020
Now, coming to the film, Laxmmi Bomb, a horror-comedy film, written and directed by Raghava Lawrence, is a Hindi remake of the 2011 Tamil film Muni 2: Kanchana. The story revolves around tribulations of a man who fears the supernatural, but is later possessed by ghost of a transgender, Laxmmi. The film, also starring Kiara Advani, is set to release on June 5, 2020.
'Housefull 4' to 'Good Newwz', Akshay has many upcoming films
Apart from the 2020 release, Akshay has three more films in the pipeline. His first, Housefull 4, an ensemble comedy, directed by Farhad Samji and also starring Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol and Kriti Sanon, is slated to release on October 26. Akshay will also star in a comedy drama, Good Newwz, opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan. He will also be seen in Rohit Shetty-directorial Sooryavanshi.
