Fardeen Khan joins Akshay Kumar in 'Housefull 5': Report
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is teaming up with Akshay Kumar for the upcoming film, Housefull 5. According to a new Pinkvilla report, Fardeen Khan will be playing a key role in this comedy. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, it's currently in pre-production, and shooting is scheduled to begin by the end of August. The cast includes Riteish Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, and Nana Patekar. This marks a reunion for Kumar, Khan, and Nadiadwala after their previous collaboration on Heyy Babyy.
Khan chosen over multiple contenders for 'Housefull 5'
Reportedly, Khan was selected over several contenders, including Arjun Rampal, to play a significant role in Housefull 5. A source close to the development stated, "After Heyy Babyy, the trio of Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala is coming together for Housefull 5." The source also revealed that it's a fun-filled role for Khan who is excited to work again with Kumar after their soon-to-be-released Khel Khel Mein.
'Housefull 5' to introduce new comedy flavor on a cruise
While the six key male characters for Housefull 5 have been finalized, casting for female protagonists is still in progress. The makers are reportedly seeking top mainstream actors for this comic caper. According to sources, Housefull 5 will introduce a new flavor of comedy as it unfolds on a cruise. "It's a comic thriller, where one episode brings the house down inside a cruise," said the source close to the development.
'Housefull 5' scheduled for release in June 2025
Housefull 5 is set to start shooting in August 2024 and will continue until November 2024. The film is scheduled for release on June 6, 2025. Prior to starting his work on Housefull 5, Kumar is expected to complete a 20-day schedule of Welcome To The Jungle in Mumbai and Kashmir. The shooting locations for Housefull 5 include London and a real-life cruise.
