
Akshay announces 'Kesari 2' with gritty video, confirms April release

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has announced his upcoming film, Kesari 2.
A spiritual sequel to the 2019 historical drama Kesari, the film will be released worldwide on April 18.
Kumar shared a promotional video on social media featuring slates reading, "A revolution painted in courage. Kesari Chapter 2."
He also revealed the film's teaser will be unveiled on March 24.

Plot details
'Kesari 2' to focus on Jallianwala Bagh massacre
Kesari 2 will follow barrister C. Sankaran Nair's battle to discover the truth behind the harrowing Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
The film is being produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films.
Kesari 2 will also feature R. Madhavan and Ananya Panday alongside Kumar.
Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, it's based on the book The Case That Shook The Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat.
Raghu is Nair's great-grandson.
