Akash Ambani's bachelor-bash: Luxury venue, Maroon 5 performance, celebs' attendance
The festivities of Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta's wedding have officially begun. A lavish bachelor bash for the groom-to-be has been organized in St. Moritz, a luxury alpine resort town in Switzerland's Engadin valley. It will be a two-day affair and just like every Ambani party, this will also have several biggies in attendance. In fact, around 500 guests will attend today's evening bash.
Day 1: Nostalgic ride on Ferris wheel at Winter Wonderland
The bachelor bash will begin with a 'Winter Wonderland' fair on the banks of Lake St. Moritz. The fun fair will kick-start today in the evening and will continue till wee hours. Reportedly, the carnival-like set-up will have several rides like Ferris wheel for the guests, which may take them back to their childhood. There will also be stalls for guests to shop.
Also in the itinerary: Special drone show, musical performance
The party will also have a 'Peter Pan Ice Show,' which will be followed by a special 10-minute drone show for guests. An Indian musical performance will add shine to the whole event. There will also be an ice rink stage for the guests.
Day 2: Maroon 5 to perform at Akash's bachelor bash
The second day will be the same, sans the drone show and ice skating. As per reports, after a lavish lunch that will take place from 12.30pm to 4pm, the guests will head towards the fair and stalls for shopping that will open from 6pm to 8pm. This will be followed by an exclusive live performance by American popular pop band Maroon 5.
Guest list: Newlyweds Priyanka-Nick, Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar
As expected, Akash's bachelor bash will have Bollywood's who's who marking their presence. Ace filmmaker-producer Karan Johar has already flown to Switzerland. Akash's close friend Ranbir Kapoor will also attend, as will the latter's cousins, Armaan and Aadar Jain, sons of Raj Kapoor's daughter. Besides, newlyweds Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas will also be reportedly flowing down to the Swiss Alps for this bash.
Guests to stay in most expensive 5-star hotel, Badrutt Palace
The expenditure doesn't end here. The Ambanis will keep their guests at the most expensive 5-star hotel, Badrutt Palace, situated close to Lake Saint Moritz. To give a perspective, the cheapest available room in the hotel is a Deluxe Room with Mountain View at $1,385 (Rs. 98,500), while the most expensive room is the Corner Suite with Lake View for $4,343 (Rs. 308,939).
Akash-Shloka's wedding celebrations to be a three-day affair
After the bachelor bash, the Ambanis will be flowing back to Mumbai for Akash-Shloka's wedding ceremonies, which will also be a three-day affair. The wedding ceremonies will feature a sangeet night on March 8, followed by the wedding on March 9. Later, the Ambanis will also host an opulent wedding reception for them on March 11 at Mumbai's Jio World Center.
