'Auron Mein...': Big budget, big names, big disappointment at box-office
The Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, which was released theatrically on August 2, has failed to impress audiences, grossing a disappointing ₹14 crore worldwide. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the film's underwhelming performance comes despite the involvement of a high-profile cast and crew. The film's lifetime collections are projected to be around a mere ₹9 crore net (₹10.8 crore gross) in India.
Film's international collections are equally disappointing
Internationally, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha has also failed to make a mark, collecting only around $400K (₹3.35 crore gross), reported Pinkvilla. The worldwide total for the film stands at approximately ₹14 crore gross. After accounting for incentives, the worldwide producer share will be around ₹5 crore, which is only half of the print and advertising expenses of the film.
Film's budget and losses
Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha was modestly budgeted but became a larger project due to the involvement of Devgn and Pandey, who typically command a combined worth of ₹80 crore per film. With an estimated budget of ₹150 crore—including assumed remuneration for Devgn and Pandey—publicity and advertising costs, and interest on money invested, the movie has resulted in significant losses. Even in the most optimistic scenario, losses are estimated to be over ₹60 crore.
'Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha' plot and digital release

The narrative unfolds in two timelines: 2001 and 2024, exploring Krishna's relationship with his old love Vasudha, played by Saiee Manjrekar (younger version) and Tabu (older version). The film is set to stream on digital platforms in late September.
