Ajay Devgn eyes collaboration with 'Mission Mangal' helmer Jagan Shakti
Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn is reportedly in discussions with Jagan Shakti, the director of the super hit film Mission Mangal, for a potential collaboration. This news comes after Shakti's recent project, an action thriller starring Tiger Shroff, was reportedly shelved following 30 days of shooting. "Ajay is excited by the idea pitched to him by Jagan and is looking forward to the collaboration," revealed a source to Pinkvilla.
Devgn and Shakti discussing logistics for the new project
Per the report, Devgn and Shakti have held multiple meetings over the past few months to discuss a possible joint venture. The genre and other details of the project are not yet known, but "it's a world that has excited Devgn." "They are discussing and figuring out the logistics at the moment," said the insider. The film is said to be produced under Devgn's production house, Devgn Films.
Shooting for the Devgn-Shakti project expected to begin in 2025
The source further disclosed, "If everything goes as planned, Ajay will start shooting for the Jagan Shakti directorial by early 2025." Currently, Devgn is one of Bollywood's busiest actors with a jam-packed schedule. He is nearing completion of Rohit Shetty's directorial, Singham Again, and has shoots for De De Pyaar De 2 and Son of Sardar 2 scheduled in June. He recently graced screens with the biographical drama Maidaan.
'Dhamaal 4,' 'Golmaal 5': Devgn's upcoming ventures
In addition to the projects mentioned earlier, Devgn is set to feature in Dhamaal 4, directed by Indra Kumar, and the comedy Golmaal 5, helmed by Shetty. However, the timelines for these films will be finalized once the directors have completed the scripts. Meanwhile, alongside Singham Again, Devgn also has Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha and Raid 2 slated for release this year, although specific dates are yet to be confirmed.
