Aishwarya Rai Bachchan turned 45 today. Although she wanted her birthday celebrations to be a low-key affair, her doting husband Abhishek Bachchan made sure her day turned out to be a special one. Abhishek, who is currently shooting for Anurag Basu's next in Hooghly, flew down to Mumbai, to be with his lady love on her birthday. Here are the details.
Abhishek-Aishwarya's special getaway to Goa
Aishwarya's birthday celebrations, reportedly, began with a private surprise party at Bachchan's Juhu residence. Post the party, she visited the famous Siddhivinayak Temple. Later, Abhishek took his wife and daughter Aaradhya to Goa for a special getaway. "It is essentially a quick family getaway before Abhishek dives headlong into the shoot of Anurag's film again on November 4," a source told Mid-Day.

Abhishek shares a romantic message for wife Aishwarya
Amid their Goa celebrations, Abhishek even shared a romantic post for his blue-eyed beauty. He posted a black-and-white picture of himself with Aishwarya and called her his happy place. Earlier, in one of his interviews, Abhishek stated, "As a man, nothing gives me more pleasure than putting my wife in front of me and seeing her be celebrated". What a perfect husband AB is!

Aishwarya to visit cancer patients post Goa trip
For the past eight years, Aishwarya has been following a noble birthday tradition. Whenever she is in Mumbai for her birthday, she visits kids suffering from cancer. However, due to Goa getaway, she missed it this year. But she informed Anita Peter, executive director, Cancer Patients Aid Association, that she'll meet them after returning. She also makes an annual donation.
Separately, Abhishek-Aishwarya to share screen space in 'Gulab Jamun'
Interestingly, the stunning couple will soon share the screen space after eight years. The two were last seen in 2010 release 'Raavan' and have been roped in for Anurag Kashyap's 'Gulab Jamun'. Reportedly the movie will hit floors in January 2019. Surely, their fans can't wait to watch the Bachchan couple sizzle on the silver screen.
