Malayalam actor Aishwarya Lekshmi, while promoting her upcoming film Hello Mummy in a recent interview, revealed she has no plans to marry. The 33-year-old actor candidly shared, "When I was younger, I imagined getting married. At 8, 10, and even 25." However, she added that her perspective changed as she grew older and observed the compromises in many relationships around her.
Lekshmi's observations led to her decision
Lekshmi further explained that her decision was influenced by seeing marriages around her. "Most people I saw in marriages weren't happy. They seemed to live with compromises, and few truly grew as individuals." She emphasized that this wasn't an impulsive choice but a result of reflecting on the experiences of people around her.
'Marriage isn't something I need to feel fulfilled'
The actor also revealed that she doesn't "believe in the institution of marriage...I've come to understand that marriage isn't something I need to feel fulfilled." She stressed the importance of growing as an individual and being free, saying, "The freedom to grow and pursue my journey matters most." Despite her views on marriage, Lekshmi jokingly remembered once making a profile on a matrimonial site for fun.
Lekshmi's upcoming film 'Hello Mummy'
Meanwhile, on the work front, Lekshmi will be seen in the film Hello Mummy, which releases on Thursday, November 21. She will be seen playing a character named Steffy in the movie. The film also stars actors Sharafudheen, Aju Varghese, and Sunny Hinduja in pivotal roles. The plot revolves around Sharafudheen's character Boney who gets frustrated with his mother-in-law who always hovers over her daughter.
