'Dune: Prophecy' draws inspiration from 'Sisterhood of Dune'
Dune: Prophecy, initially commissioned in 2019 as Dune: The Sisterhood, is inspired by the novel Sisterhood of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J Anderson. The series is set in the expansive universe of Dune, created by acclaimed author Frank Herbert, and takes place 10,000 years before Paul Atreides's ascension. It follows two Harkonnen sisters battling forces threatening humankind's future and establishing the Bene Gesserit sect.
Jihae to portray Reverend Mother Kasha in 'Dune: Prophecy'
In Dune: Prophecy, Jihae will embody the character of Reverend Mother Kasha, described as "the Emperor's own Truthsayer and confidant." Occupying "a position of great influence in the Imperium," her character faces a "new challenge that leads her to question the Sisterhood's intentions." This predicament makes her role increasingly difficult to navigate, adding complexity to her character.
Jihae's previous roles and representation
Jihae's past work includes roles in Netflix's Altered Carbon, where she performed a track from her album Illusion of You. She also starred in the Ron Howard and Brian Grazer-produced Nat Geo series Mars, playing two lead roles as twins, and in Peter Jackson's film Mortal Engines. Jihae is represented by Innovative Artists, Untitled Entertainment, and Peikoff Mahan Law Office.
