Shiv Sena joins MNS against Salman Khan's 'Tiger Zinda Hai'
Following the maximum booking of screens and multiplexes by the producers of the fillm 'Tiger Zinda Hai', MNS and Shiv Sena leaders have joined hands and said: "Our tiger is zindaa too". Their contention point is - Marathi films like 'Devaa' and 'Ek Atrangi' which are releasing alongside Tiger would suffer losses. After 'Padmavati', this movie may not get embroiled in controversies. Here's what the MNS alleged
Reportedly, the producers of 'Tiger Zinda Hai' have booked maximum multiplexes and single screens across Mumbai, leaving Marathi cinema with fewer screens. Opposing the action, MNS leader Shalini Thackeray said that the party will oppose if Hindi film industry takes screen space at the expense of Marathi films. She also added that regional films shouldn't bear the brunt of big-budget star releases.
About the film 'Tiger Zinda Hai'
This Ali Abbas Zaffar directorial is a spy thriller and is a sequel of 2012 movie 'Ek Tha Tiger', which also starred Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan as lead actors. Actress Katrina Kaif essays the character of Zoya and Salman plays the role of Tiger; they both look fierce on the posters with deadliest weapons in their hands. The film also stars Angad Bedi.
