After 9-year hiatus, Adnan Sami set for his Bollywood comeback!
After a nine-year absence from Bollywood, renowned singer Adnan Sami is poised to return. Sami, who gained fame for his chart-topping song Bhar Do Jholi Meri from Salman Khan's 2015 film Bajrangi Bhaijaan, will lend his voice to a romantic number in the forthcoming musical horror movie Kasoor, according to Pinkvilla. The track will feature actors Aftab Shivdasani, Urvashi Rautela, and Punjabi sensation Jassie Gill.
Sami to collaborate with Payal Dev for 'Kasoor' track
According to the report, Sami will collaborate with established singer Payal Dev for the Kasoor track. The music for this song is composed by Javed Mohsin. The film's second schedule, which includes this song, will begin next week on a specially built extravagant set in a Mumbai studio. Asif Shaikh, the producer of Kasoor, expressed his enthusiasm about Sami's involvement: "His music has always resonated with audiences, and we believe this song will be no exception."
Sami's last Bollywood project was 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan'
Sami's last Bollywood venture was Bajrangi Bhaijaan—a film directed by Kabir Khan. The movie, which starred debutant Harshaali Malhotra, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in pivotal roles, is the seventh-highest-grossing Indian film and fourth-highest-grossing Hindi film of all time. A sequel to Bajrangi Bhaijaan, titled Pawan Putra Bhaijaan, is reportedly under development. In 2022, veteran writer KV Vijayendra Prasad confirmed that the sequel would be a 'continuation' of the first part and not a spiritual spin-off.
Meanwhile, here's everything about 'Kasoor'
Following the success of Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai (ZEE5), filmmaker Shaikh has enlisted Shivdasani for his next venture. Titled Kasoor, the film, directed by Glen Barrett, is said to be a musical horror flick. Coincidentally, the upcoming film shares the same title as Shivdasani's 2001 psychological thriller, which happened to be one of his most successful films from the 2000s. However, there is no connection between the upcoming film and the one released in 2001.
