Aditya Narayan to return as host for 'Indian Idol 15'
Singer Aditya Narayan is set to make a comeback as the host of the popular singing reality show Indian Idol 15. The last season of the show was hosted by Hussain Kuwajerwala, with Narayan stepping in for one episode when Kuwajerwala was unavailable. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Indian Idol, and auditions are scheduled to begin on August 31 across India.
Narayan's extensive hosting career
Narayan began his hosting career in 2007 and has since presented several shows including Rising Star 3, Entertainment Ki Raat, Kitchen Champion, and multiple seasons of Indian Idol and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. He was also the host of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2023 last year. He is also known for singing songs such as Mujhe Maaf Karna, Tattad Tattad, and Ji Huzoor, among others.
Earlier, Narayan was in the news for a controversial incident
Earlier this year, Narayan faced controversy during a concert at a college in Bhilai when he threw a fan's phone into the crowd. The incident sparked widespread criticism and the fan, a third-year BSc student at Rungta College named Lovkesh Chandravanshi, claimed that Narayan hit his hand with his microphone. The incident, caught on camera, went viral on social media within hours.
Event manager claimed student 'irritated' Narayan
However, the event manager claimed that Chandravanshi was "constantly dragging Aditya's feet," which "irritated" the singer. When asked if he would file a police complaint, Chandravanshi told Times Now, "I don't want to file a police complaint. I will not do that. I am not comfortable and I will not take action. I am also scared." Narayan, meanwhile, told Zoom Entertainment, "I am answerable to the Almighty. That's all."
